Participants will learn how to structure their classroom to ensure success for Tough Kids and use proactive, practical techniques for managing difficult students. Participants will receive The Tough Kid Tool Box and The Tough Kid Book full of ready-to-use, classroom-tested materials to help motivate and manage your Tough Kids.
Participants must collect implementation data and enter into FDLRS Impact Database.

This full-day training introduces participants to the Strategic Math Series and provides a deep dive into implementing the first three foundational books in the series (Addition 0 - 9, Subtraction 0 - 9, and Place Value ones and tens). Using the Concrete - Representational - Abstract, the series provides explicit instruction paired with easy-to-learn strategies that turn students into active problem solvers.
Target audience: Elementary teachers, ESE teachers, Math Interventionists and Math Coaches.
FDLRS will offer follow-up trainings for additional books in the series during SY 21/22, including: Addition Facts 10 - 18, Subtraction Facts 10 - 18, Multiplication 0 - 81, Division 0 - 81, Addition with Regrouping, and Subtraction with Regrouping.
